Eric rethinks retirement
Donna tries to lift Eric’s spirits by mentioning the flattering articles written about him. He remains frustrated that his career is over, but also questions whether Ridge truly made the right decision. Eric regrets the harsh words he previously said to Ridge, realizing they came from a place of overwhelming emotion. Donna reassures him of his talent and encourages him to showcase his designs. However, Eric feels Ridge may not be interested and is only focused on his health. The two then decide to spend some time together, with Eric acknowledging that his son is simply concerned about his well-being.
Liam and Hope discuss the wedding
Hope and Liam’s conversation shifts to their wedding, as they look forward to beginning a new chapter. They admit that Beth might not feel comfortable around Sheila. Hope also doesn’t believe Sheila has truly changed, despite what her father thinks. Liam reminds her that Sheila once saved Steffy’s life. While Hope acknowledges the good deed, she feels Beth doesn’t want to be around her. Beth then arrives and excitedly shares her enthusiasm for the wedding.
Sheila talks about Hope’s wedding
Deacon and Sheila talk about Eric’s retirement, with the latter expressing her gratitude for being with a Forrester she loves. Sheila then discusses what she could wear to Hope’s wedding and shares her excitement for this Sharpe event. However, Deacon reminds her that the day should be about Hope and Liam. He later breaks the news that Sheila isn’t invited to the wedding. Sheila is disappointed, but Deacon explains that it’s the marrying couple’s decision.
Eric doesn’t want to attend the wedding
Donna and Eric are excited about the wedding, but he doesn’t wish to attend due to the expected press and paparazzi. Donna understands, and they share a hug. Meanwhile, Brooke reassures Ridge that he made the right decision regarding Eric. Ridge is grateful for her support, yet questions whether he truly regrets his actions or not.
Beth’s efforts are appreciated
Sheila is visibly frustrated about not being invited, but Deacon explains that he did try to convince Hope. Sheila expresses that she wants their kids to know they are a couple now, but Deacon insists he won’t go against his daughter’s wishes. Meanwhile, Beth’s preparations for the wedding are appreciated, with her being praised for being an amazing officiant.
