Following her friends’ demise, Kali was trapped in a base, where doctors periodically took her blood. Although she tried to escape, she was unsuccessful and later discovered that her blood was being transfused into a pregnant woman. This confirmed that Dr. Kay intended to restart Dr. Brenner’s experiments to replicate Henry.
Vecna takes Holly to the Abyss
Vecna sets the plan in motion to combine the two worlds by the end. When he realizes that Holly is still under his control, he takes her to his lair in the Abyss. There, the kids attempt to stop her from leaving, once Henry manages to convince everyone that Max is the monster.
Dustin and Steve’s friendship status
Eddie’s demise had strained the duo’s relationship, but coming together to stop Vecna also made them reflect on their bond and fight as a team. While planning to capture Vecna, the pair shares a heartfelt conversation, with Steve referring to Dustin as his “best friend.”
Max awakens
Following her way out from Vecna’s mindscape, it’s revealed that Max’s body was in a trance and not in a coma. When she wakes up, she is immediately hunted by Demodogs sent by Vecna. Fortunately, Karen saves her and the group by blowing off the basement and killing the creatures.
The scientist in the mine
During Max and Holly’s time in Henry’s mind, they come across a scientist in a cave with a briefcase and a gun pointed towards young Henry. The scientist shot at Henry’s hand, which led to a struggle between them for the gun. At the end, Henry bashes his head with a rock, ultimately murdering him.
Jonathan and Nancy’s relationship status
During their time trapped in the melting room, the duo believed they would die, which led them to confess their feelings for each other. Jonathan shows Nancy an engagement ring, but in an unexpected turn of events, he asks her not to marry him.
Mystery of Upside Down
Dustin reveals that the Upside Down is the bridge between the real world and the universe when Vecna was sent, following his defeat against El.
Will’s impressive powers
Using his powers, Will shares crucial information about Max and Holly’s whereabouts, helping track down Vecna. He tries to assist them, but Vecna forces him out of the hive mind, knocking him unconscious yet still trapped in his mind, and plans to turn him into his spy again.
