Gunther opened WWE Raw by mocking fans and John Cena, boasting that he kept his promise by forcing Cena to tap out and end his career. Later, AJ Styles confronted him in the parking lot, but Gunther mocked Styles before driving away.
The Usos vs. The New Day with Grayson Waller
Jimmy and Jey Uso officially returned to the tag team division and faced their longtime rivals, The New Day. The Usos controlled the match and finished Kofi Kingston with 1D to earn a strong return victory.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Maxxine Dupri (c) vs. Ivy Nile
Maxxine Dupri made her first title defense after training with Natalya for weeks. She stayed calm throughout the match. In the end, she locked Ivy Nile in the Ankle Lock, forcing her to tap out to retain her title.
Winner: Maxxine Dupri
CM Punk warns Bron Breakker
WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk addressed Bron Breakker ahead of their January 5 match. Punk fired back at Breakker’s personal attacks and took shots at his family, calling out Rick and Scott Steiner dumb, making it clear he was ready for the fight.

Raquel Rodriguez finally received a title shot after weeks of attacking the champion. The match ended in disqualification when Nikki Bella rushed in and attacked both women, forcing the referee to stop the match.

Rey Mysterio vs. Logan Paul with Paul Heyman
Rey Mysterio faced Logan Paul after weeks of tension with The Vision. At the end of the match, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker approached the ring, but CM Punk attacked them with a steel chair. Inside the ring, Mysterio hit a 619 and nearly won.
Amid the chaos, Paul Heyman handed Logan Paul brass knuckles, but Mysterio surprised him with a 619, knocking the knuckles loose. As he picked them up, the masked man once again helped The Vision by hitting Mysterio with a Stomp. Logan Paul followed with a Superstar Splash to get the win.
The masked man was revealed to be none other than Austin Theory, and as CM Punk reacted in anger, Bron Breakker speared Punk to end the show.
