Striking product images<\/span> draw you in, don\u2019t they? Even when you\u2019re not sure what the doohickey is, or does, you know you want it, or at the very least want to know about it. The Mutalk certainly has striking product images\u2014but not in a good way.<\/p>\n

Shiftall\u2019s creation is a \u201cBluetooth mic that isolates your voice, making it difficult for others to hear,\u201d but the brand promo pics offer equal parts bafflement and amusement. A guffaw followed by, \u201cIs it a portable Monsters, Inc.<\/em> Scream Extractor?\u201d is, we\u2019d wager, not the first impression Shiftall\u2019s marketing team are after.<\/p>\n

But we\u2019re professionals at WIRED, and the Bluetooth isolating microphone gimp mask is a new category for us. So let\u2019s strap it on, get to work, and pray to Marsellus Wallace<\/a> that no one sees us.<\/p>\n
