After the release of\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Violet in 2022 \u2013 read\u00a0Game Informer’s\u00a0<\/em>review here<\/a> \u2013 developer Game Freak revealed that the ninth generation of\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon would be getting two DLC expansions<\/a>, just like\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Sword and Shield<\/a> did. The first installment was called The Teal Mask<\/a> and it hit Switch on September 13. The second expansion, The Indigo Disk, hits\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Violet next week, on December 14, and to celebrate its arrival, Game Freak and Nintendo released a four-minute trailer today showcasing some of the DLC’s highlights.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In it, we see plenty of starter\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon \u2013 every starter is returning in The Indigo Disk \u2013 and various legendaries, too, like the Johto dogs, the Hoenn legendaries, and much more. We also get a taste of Blueberry Academy, its special Blueberry Quests, unique\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon-centric minigames, and a dose of tough double battles against various trainers at the school.\u00a0<\/p>\n
