Between leaked art books, <a href=\"https:\/\/gameinformer.com\/2023\/07\/03\/ubisoft-reportedly-plans-to-remake-assassins-creed-4-black-flag\">insider reports<\/a>, and more, all signs point to it being real. Now, Ubisoft has added fuel to the fire with a pretty straightforward tease.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The company released an Assassin&#8217;s Creed franchise update today \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/gameinformer.com\/2026\/03\/04\/ubisoft-gives-updates-on-assassins-creed-franchise-including-hexe-and-invictus-alongside\">read <em>Game Informer&#8217;s <\/em>full report on it here<\/a> \u2013 and in it, <a href=\"https:\/\/gameinformer.com\/2026\/02\/23\/ubisoft-appoints-assassins-creed-leadership-team-made-of-series-veterans\">new Head of Content Jean Guesdon<\/a>, who was also creative director on Black Flag, alluded to the rumored remake.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"jlvid_container\"><iframe title=\"Gameplay Reveal Trailer | Assassin&#039;s Creed 4 Black Flag\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IM0A31ZTA0c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Speculation around Assassin&#8217;s Creed is not new, but it&#8217;s worth repeating: &#8216;Nothing is true. Everything is permitted,'&#8221; Guesdon writes in the update. &#8220;Well, except in this case, <strong>some whispers have a little more wind in their sails. Keep your spyglass on the horizon.<\/strong>&#8221; There&#8217;s also a parrot emoji at the end of the sentence, adding another measure of clarity in case you doubt that this is a Black Flag remake tease.
