According to Qi, VistaJet has received three times as many RFPs (request for proposals) from corporations looking for private aviation solutions during the first six months of 2025 compared to the first six months of 2024.<\/p>\n<aside aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"PullQuoteEmbedWrapper-sc-EoVjf kgVYDs\" data-testid=\"pullquote-embed\">\n<div class=\"PullQuoteEmbedContent-sc-kTcfhx dzGCEG\">\n<p class=\"paywall\">\u201cYou can save a lot of time\u2014and time, ultimately, is money.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"paywall\">George Mattson, CEO of Wheels Up<\/span><\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p class=\"paywall\">But business travelers aren\u2019t the only customers driving the surge in demand. Private carriers have long been a popular option for reaching leisure destinations that lack commercial connections. According to aircraft charter specialist <a data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/chapmanfreeborn.aero\/\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/chapmanfreeborn.aero\/&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/chapmanfreeborn.aero\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chapman Freeborn<\/a>, harder-to-reach destinations like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/gallery\/the-8-scottish-islands-you-should-plan-to-visit\" target=\"_blank\">Scotland\u2019s Hebrides<\/a>, and the French and Italian islands of Corsica and Ischia, are trending this summer, alongside perennial favorites like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/gallery\/best-hotels-in-the-hamptons\" target=\"_blank\">Hamptons<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/gallery\/best-hotels-in-ibiza\" target=\"_blank\">Ibiza<\/a>. One reason for this is that private aviation requires a relatively manual booking process. A handful of start-ups are vying to become \u201cthe Uber of private jet travel,\u201d such as <a data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/travel\/cheaper-private-airplanes-kinectair\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/travel\/cheaper-private-airplanes-kinectair&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/travel\/cheaper-private-airplanes-kinectair\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kinectair<\/a>, which offers real-time pricing and route search features, without charging membership fees. In an industry-first, Delta Air Lines is now connecting its international business class passengers with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/story\/delta-connects-commercial-fliers-to-wheels-up-private-jets\">Wheels Up charter flights throughout Europe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Meanwhile, \u201csemi-private\u201d carriers like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/story\/what-is-jsx-airlines\" target=\"_blank\">JSX,<\/a> <a data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/flyxo.com\/\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/flyxo.com\/&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/flyxo.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">XO<\/a>, and <a data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/aero.com\/\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/aero.com\/&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/aero.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aero<\/a> offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/story\/all-the-ways-to-fly-private-starting-at-dollar100-per-flight\" target=\"_blank\">scheduled services aboard private aircraft<\/a> that travelers can book by the seat\u2014a model that\u2019s proven a hit among premium travelers. <a data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/www.flytradewind.com\/\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/www.flytradewind.com\/&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flytradewind.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tradewind Aviation<\/a>\u2014which offers both book-by-the-seat scheduled flights and private charters in the US and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/gallery\/best-hotels-in-the-caribbean\" target=\"_blank\">the Caribbean<\/a>\u2014says it\u2019s seeing roughly a 33 percent year-over-year increase in scheduled service bookings across its routes; However, private charters are seeing \u201cless of an increase\u201d this summer compared to last, a Tradewind spokesperson says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">As demand for scheduled services increases, carriers like these are expanding their route maps. This May, Aero launched a bicoastal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/story\/unwritten-rules-los-angeles\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveler.com\/destinations\/new-york-city\" target=\"_blank\">New York<\/a> flight (featuring in-flight Erewhon meals and Starlink Wi-Fi). The company says the new route was \u201cbuilt for business travelers, flying from Los Angeles to New York on Monday mornings and returning to Los Angeles on Thursday afternoons.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Mattson, of Wheels Up, believes even more travelers will be making the leap from business class to business jet in the years to come.
