The long-awaited <\/span>Nintendo<\/a> Switch 2<\/a> finally dropped this week, and while it makes a number of big improvements on its predecessor\u2014things like a better screen, beefier internal specs, and more accessible controls\u2014there is one thing it’s worse at. According to the repairability advocates and gleeful disassemblers at iFixit<\/a>, it’s even harder to fix than the original Switch.<\/p>\n

Perhaps most worrying for new owners is that, despite a new \u201cfrom the ground up\u201d redesign for the Switch\u2019s Joy-Con controllers, the root cause of stick drift\u2014something that many owners<\/a> of the original have long complained of\u2014doesn’t seem to have been truly addressed in the Switch 2.<\/p>\n
