Still, Mosseri hasn\u2019t been quiet on the topic\u2014despite past pleas, he\u2019s taken <a data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mosseri\/status\/1498046814288633857\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/x.com\/mosseri\/status\/1498046814288633857&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mosseri\/status\/1498046814288633857\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to posting on X<\/a> multiple times over the last few years to explain that there\u2019s not a big enough group to make an Instagram iPad app a priority. But as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/founder-onlyfans-wants-to-buy-tiktok\/\">TikTok\u2019s future remains unclear<\/a>, Mosseri might have changed his tune.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">As the report outlines, Instagram is using the looming ban as an opportunity to drive more users to its app. Before the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/tiktok-ban-officially-in-effect\/\">short-lived ban<\/a> in January, Instagram released an update centered solely on enhancements to Reels\u2014its short-form video feature\u2014to steer users from TikTok to its app. The company extended the maximum length of videos, changed the profile grid to a rectangular format (specifically a 4:5 aspect ratio), and launched a new video app called <a data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/creators.instagram.com\/edits?locale=en_US\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click=\"{&quot;element&quot;:&quot;ExternalLink&quot;,&quot;outgoingURL&quot;:&quot;https:\/\/creators.instagram.com\/edits?locale=en_US&quot;}\" href=\"https:\/\/creators.instagram.com\/edits?locale=en_US\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Edits<\/a> (similar to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/bytedance-tiktok-ban-lemon8-capcut-gauthai-app-stores\/\">CapCut from TikTok\u2019s parent company<\/a>, ByteDance).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Instagram hasn&#8217;t confirmed the iPad app&#8217;s development, and so we don&#8217;t have a release window. It remains the only smartphone that comes with a stylus under $500, and Motorola is putting a little more emphasis on it this time around. You&#8217;ll be able to turn basic sketches into AI-generated art, write down math problems and have them convert to text with the solution in tow, and you can even use it with Google&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/how-to-use-circle-to-search-android\/\">Circle to Search<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">The Moto G Stylus is also IP68 water resistant now, is powered by Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, and still features a headphone jack, OLED 120-Hz screen, and wireless charging. It launches on April 17 for $399.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"paywall\">Nothing\u2019s Next CMF Phone Is Almost Here<\/h2>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Last year, the CMF Phone 1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/review\/cmf-phone-1\/\">blew me away<\/a> with its stellar performance and design\u2014it outperformed several phones that cost more money, all while looking far more stylish. Rolling out this week, this feature supposedly lets you have a free-flowing conversation with Gemini when it&#8217;s in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/what-is-gemini-live\/\">Gemini Live mode<\/a> with your phone camera open. Gemini will be able to see everything you show it.
