Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has been nominated to lead the Health and Human Services department, may have to get used to fast food if he serves in the administration.<\/p>\n

Kennedy was pictured holding what appeared to be a Big Mac<\/a> while seated at a table on the \u201cTrump Force One\u201d airplane as he, President-elect Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Donald Trump Jr. prepared to dig into a McDonald\u2019s feast. House Speaker Mike Johnson was also in the photo but wasn\u2019t seated.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Trump Jr. posted a photo<\/a> of the gathering on X, saying \u201cMake America Healthy Again starts TOMORROW,\u201d presumably after everyone is done eating their burgers and fries.<\/p>\n

While Trump is famously fond of McDonald\u2019s and even dished out fries<\/a> at one franchise during his campaign, Kennedy has advocated healthy eating while he also has been an anti-vaccine activist and a critic of fluoride in drinking water<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As far as his own eating habits, RFK Jr. has said he avoids processed foods but recently lamented the limited options available while campaigning and traveling.<\/p>\n

\u201cCampaign food is always bad, but the food that goes onto that airplane is, like, just poison,\u201d he told\u00a0podcaster Joe Polish<\/a>\u00a0last week. \u201cYou have a choice between \u2014 you don\u2019t have the choice. You\u2019re either given KFC or Big Macs.\u201d<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s if you\u2019re \u201clucky,\u201d Kennedy added, as \u201cthe rest of the stuff I consider kind of inedible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Trump transition team didn\u2019t immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n

On Saturday night, Kennedy joined Trump, Musk, Johnson, and Trump Jr. to watch a UFC fight at Madison Square Garden, where the former and soon-to-be president was greeted with cheers.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, RFK Jr.\u2019s nomination as Health and Human Services secretary has greeted with a lot of push-back as well as fears of a\u00a0mass culling<\/a>\u00a0of federal workers and agencies Kennedy deems unnecessary.<\/p>\n

But Dan Troy, a former chief counsel for the FDA during President George W. Bush\u2019s first term, said there\u2019s unlikely to be \u201cseismic changes\u201d within the agency<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cWho are you going to put in place?\u201d he\u00a0told\u00a0Reuters<\/a>. \u201cWho has the technical expertise to write these rules that are going to really change the paradigm?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
