This means that a lot of things can be fertilizer, not just the bags of Miracle-Gro you find at the local garden center.<\/p>\n<p>Fertilizer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/agriculture\/agriculture-nutrient-management-and-fertilizer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">contains three nutrients<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nitrogen<\/li>\n<li>Phosphorus<\/li>\n<li>Potassium<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These three key minerals for plant growth are also found in coffee grounds, with the added bonus of calcium and magnesium.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind, it\u2019s not only useful for gardens but can help grow grass too.<\/p>\n<p>You can use a top layer of coffee grounds as mulch too. The higher the pH, the brighter your flowers will become.<\/p>\n<p>That said, not everyone is looking for bright pink and red.
