Most competitors include washer and dryer coverage for free in their appliance plans, so this is a big detriment to 2-10 HBW. First, their unlimited workmanship guarantee makes sure that your repairs are in good standing for the lifespan of your service agreement without any additional fees, which is a huge perk since most other providers only offer workmanship guarantees for 30 to 90 days. Second, their\u00a0 \u201cEven If\u201d service fee guarantee \u2014 giving you the option to have the service fee reimbursed if an item isn\u2019t covered under your policy and you\u2019ve already called a technician for a repair \u2014 is unique.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In terms of general perks, 2-10 offers affordable rates, a decent amount of add-ons, and a claim payout rate of 97.5%, giving them an edge over competitors with pricey premiums or inconsistent claim payouts.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few drawbacks to 2-10\u2019s service. One is that they don\u2019t include washer and dryer coverage in their Complete Home plan. This may seem like a minor con, but adding a washer and dryer is an extra $6 a month, so you would need to spend at least $45 ($39 for the Complete Home plan plus $6 for the add-on) in order to cover all your appliances. At that point, I would just spend the extra $4 and get the Pinnacle Home plan. Similarly, the individual limits on 2-10\u2019s covered items are $2,000 or less, which isn\u2019t particularly impressive. It\u2019s about average for the industry, but given 2-10\u2019s monthly premiums, the dollar amounts could be a bit higher, especially for big-ticket items like HVAC and other home systems.<\/p>\n<p>2-10 Home Warranty is a great choice for budget-conscious buyers as well as homeowners who want total coverage, but I would suggest only purchasing the <strong><em>Pinnacle Home plan<\/em><\/strong>. While all three of 2-10\u2019s plans are priced decently, I don\u2019t think the other two are worth it. If you only want to protect your kitchen appliances, it makes more sense to just save up and buy new items instead of spending $27 for basic coverage that likely won\u2019t get you a brand-new replacement appliance because of 2-10\u2019s coverage limits. Likewise, the Complete Home plan is reasonably priced, but it doesn\u2019t cover everything. Most of their add-ons are between $5 and $10 a month, so they\u2019re also affordable if you want to customize basic coverage. Customers frequently complained about hard-to-reach reps, especially during emergency situations, which shows their emergency coverage isn\u2019t as good as it seems.
