For example, you can say, \u201cHey Google, remind me to take my pill every day at 9 am.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">If you have a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/googleplay\/answer\/6286986\">family group set up<\/a>, you can also set reminders for other folks in your family by saying something like, \u201cHey Google, remind Jenny to take her pill every day at 8 pm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">To review and tweak any reminders you have set, say, \u201cHey Google, show my reminders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Use Google Calendar<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">You could also set up medication reminders in Google Calendar. Open the Calendar app, select a day, tap the <strong>Plus<\/strong> icon, and choose <strong>Reminder<\/strong>. You can specify a time and tap where it says <strong>Does not repeat<\/strong>, then change to <strong>Every day<\/strong> or set another interval. When you are happy with the details, tap <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Use a Medication App<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">As we said above, of the many medication apps available for Android, our top pick is Medisafe\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.medisafe.android.client\">Pill Reminder and Med Tracker<\/a>. This slick app is the Android version of the iPhone app we recommend above, and it\u2019s easy to set up and offers the same wealth of features. You can set reminders for multiple medications, track your consumption, set up refill alerts, track symptoms, and get warnings about possible interactions.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"paywall\"\/>\n<p><h2 class=\"paywall\">How to Set Reminders on a Samsung Phone<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">As well as the methods listed above for Android phones, Samsung offers excellent medication reminders in its <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.sec.android.app.shealth\">Health app<\/a> on Samsung phones. Here\u2019s how to set them up:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"paywall\">\n<li>Open the Health app, scroll down to the <strong>Medications<\/strong> section and tap on it.<\/li>\n<li>Tap <strong>Add medication<\/strong> and start typing the name of your medication. You should see a list of suggestions pop up. If you can\u2019t find yours, tap <strong>Add custom medication<\/strong> at the bottom.<\/li>\n<li>Once you have selected your medication, you can select the type and strength. You can also identify the pill shape on the next screen.<\/li>\n<li>Now it\u2019s time to set your schedule. You can select the time and dosage required and the period to complete the course (if applicable).<\/li>\n<li>The last screen allows you to review the schedule you have created and set a medication nickname and notes, if you want to. Hit <strong>Save<\/strong> if it all looks good.<\/li>\n<li>The final screen warns you about potential interactions with other drugs or substances, such as alcohol. You can tap on possible interactions for further information on the risks.<\/li>\n<li>Once added, you will see medications listed in the Health app via the <strong>Medications<\/strong> section with a timeline along the top and a log of what you must take each day. You can mark it off for that day by tapping <strong>Take<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Tap on any medication in the <strong>Your medications<\/strong> section to edit that record. You can also add your number of remaining pills and toggle on a <strong>Refill reminder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>When you\u2019re done with a medication, tap on it under <strong>Your medications<\/strong> and tap the three vertical dots at the top right to <strong>Archive<\/strong> or <strong>Delete<\/strong>.
